General Position Description

Service Desk Associates are responsible for creating and deepening relationships with members and guests and delivering the highest quality customer service to all members and guests through professional greetings, account maintenance, extensive knowledge of Company products and services as well as proactively meeting the needs of members and guests.

Responsibilities of the Position

  • Enthusiastically greet customers on the phone and in person in a friendly and professional manner
  • Assist in keeping customers motivated during their visit
  • Assist customers with questions or concerns
  • Ensure that systems such as proper attendance recording, phone call, guest registration, cash handling, member account change, and sanitation procedures are followed
  • Project a professional image at all times
  • Perform a variety of duties including filing paperwork, folding towels,  of the facility or any other duties as assigned
  • Strive to improve the customer's experience and satisfaction every day
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of equipment and facilities
  • Appropriately suggests services and programs to members and guests
  • Attend and actively participate in staff meetings
  • Arrive to work on time

Required Skills & Prerequisites


  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Some college education preferred


  • Six months customer service experience required
  • Six months receptionist experience preferred

  • None

  • Requires an outgoing personality with the ability to effectively communicate with people
  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to operate a personal computer
  • Knowledge of standard office procedures and computer software

Assigned Hours

  • Part-time, 12+ hours per week.  Morning and weekend availability will be given priority.
