Customer Service Representative Job Summary

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for providing effective customer service for a range of customers. CRS’s interact with end customers and transportation carriers to provide timely information in response to questions, concerns, and general information regarding transportation shipments.

Expert communication and listening skills are a must for this challenging and rewarding position which is often the “face” of the company to the customers. By listening effectively and communicating in a clear and friendly way, the Customer Service Representative is able to solve any issues and provide a positive customer experience.

Customer Service Representative Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects at one time
  • Provide appropriate and correct information to customers 
  • Partner with the sales team to meet and exceed customer’s expectations
  • Provide status and documentation of issues and resolutions

Customer Service Representative Requirements and Qualifications
  • High School diploma required 
  • Customer service experience desired
  • Computer experience and data entry required
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment desired 
  • Problem-solving skills, and the ability to think under pressure and outside the box a plus
