Goodwill of the Heartland is seeking a full-time Facilities Manager for our Headquarters in Cedar Rapids, overseeing facilities maintenance and planning for 25+ facilities in eastern Iowa and western Illinois.

Duties:

  • This position provides overall facilities direction and leadership to the organization, such as scheduling preventive maintenance, responding to repairs and coordinating vendor response, and communicating with managers at our facilities on project updates, work order status, and vendor arrivals at our facilities.
  • Additionally, this role will assist staff in evaluating new properties, preparing facilities for team members and coordinating the move into the new space.
  • Successful candidates will be prepared to plan, develop, coordinate, communicate, and perform work as needed to maintain and improve our organization's physical facilities.  

The schedule will typically be M-F and may include some weekends as needed.  

Position Requirements: 

  • Four years of full-time employment in facility project management or construction management.  
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field is preferred.  
  • Successful completion of a background screening: Valid driver's license and proof of required auto insurance, motor vehicle record, and criminal background checks.
