Responsible for managing a group of worldwide vendors to provide localization services such as translation, desktop publishing, interpreting, audio/video, and transcription, to ensure they meet the company and clients’ quality requirements. Manage processes for recruiting and qualifying vendors as well as negotiating and executing master service agreements. Set and manage performance expectations. Identify processes and procedures to manage company risk as it relates to vendor acquisition and performance.
 
Responsibilities
1.     Ongoing recruitment and certification of vendors by identifying capabilities (language pairs, subject matter expertise, references, capacity, etc.)
2.      Build mutually beneficial partnerships that will ensure reliable resources at competitive rates by Negotiating vendor master service agreements, including rates, materials and schedules
3.      Evaluate vendor performance and participate in investigations when defects or errors occur. Work alongside project managers and QA coordinators to resolve quality, timing and other vendor issues 
4.      Define and implement standard operating procedure for vendor management related tasks
5.      Drive continuous vendor improvement activities and training
6.      Ensure vendor management process documentation is complete, current, and stored appropriately
7.      Coordinate remote and on-site review of vendors. Ensure all vendor management activities adhere to ISO 9001 and other related industry standards


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent experience
  • Localization, Translation, or Globalization experience is preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with international business partners
  • Vendor management or Procurement experience is expected
  • Experience working in and ISO certified or other quality-standards based environment preferred
  • Inclination and ability to work in diverse cultures
  • Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Slides, Drive, etc.) Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to learn new proprietary or industry-specific database applications and technologies
  • Ability to design, request and interpret useful performance reports
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills suitable for management level as well as multi-cultural audiences
