Care Initiatives proudly serves the state of Iowa through 43 skilled nursing locations, eight assisted living locations, and seven hospice locations and is the largest skilled nursing organization in the state of Iowa. Our unique hands-on AIT program will equip you with the resources to start your career in long-term care in one of Iowa’s largest skilled nursing organizations. At Care Initiatives, we will help you build confidence and set you up for success to advance into an Administrator role. Under the direction of an experienced Administrator, we’ll allow you to learn from multiple leaders within our organization by gaining experience at diverse facilities.

Our program will rotate you throughout various departments in our skilled nursing facilities, learning hands-on the policies and procedures of each various department. Care Initiatives will also teach you how to be successful in navigating the regulations set forth by The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the state of Iowa and ensure you are equipped to successfully navigate your first survey. Our program will also allow you to build a network of some of Iowa’s top leaders in long-term care.

Candidates must:

  • Obtain Iowa NHA license within one year of hire
  • Be flexible to relocate anywhere in the state of Iowa.  While we have some metropolitan locations, the vast majority of our 43 locations are in predominantly rural markets and thus we're seeking individuals that are willing, able and may have prior experience serving in a rural capacity.
  • Have valid driver's license and be insurable; Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check is required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare administration or related field - required
  • MBA or advanced degree - preferred
  • Strong business, marketing, leadership, and relationship building skills
  • Experience in long-term care is preferred at any level
