Administrative Billing Specialist

Johnson County Ambulance Department is seeking a full-time Administrative Billing Specialist to perform insurance billing and various assignments involving the application of fundamental administrative abilities as an assistant to the Director. This includes interfacing with clients and insurance companies, answering questions, managing accounts payable/receivable and handling collection issues.

Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent AND five years of general office or accounting experience OR any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Supervisory and experience with medical billing preferred.

Special requirements: Must pass background check. Valid driver’s license and insurable under county liability coverage. CPR certification. Ambulance coder certification required within one year of hire. May also require use of private vehicle for official business.
