Sales and Marketing Coordinator

The Cedar Rapids Tourism Office is seeking a Sales and Marketing Coordinator.

This position is a split role providing administrative support to both the Director of Marketing as well as the sales staff. Support will include basic clerical duties, and assistance with sales and marketing efforts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist sales departments with CRM management and develop/publish bid materials and RFP responses as directed.
  • Assist marketing department with website and social media content and posting. Manage website event calendar.
  • Replenish materials in the visitor information center and seek out new materials for inclusion.
  • Answer phone and greet all visitors to the office, assist with requests, and direct to appropriate staff, and/or provide information as requested.
  • Create and distribute various email newsletters including weekly events, partner updates, and visitor news.

A Bachelor Degree from four-year college or university or relevant experience in a professional office setting preferred. Proficiency with MS Office programs required. Applicant must possess a current valid driver's license. This position requires excellent teamwork skills, working cooperatively with others in the accomplishment of joint tasks and common objectives.
