Duties to include:
•    Provide reception for Psychiatry Research Administrative Office
•    Managing multiple concurrent tasks, groups, and activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation
•    Proofing and editing documents (manuscripts, grant text, bio sketches, letters)
•    Creating Word and Excel documents to summarize and track various projects  
•    Preparing reports for faculty members and administrative staff
•    Preparing and editing PowerPoint slides and posters
•    Preparing grant text and various required documents by formatting and finalizing for upload 
•    Will assist in scientific journal manuscript submissions
•    Assisting in preparation of and submission of Special Payment Transactions
•    Opening, monitoring and closing accounts
•    Reviewing transactions for appropriateness and reconciling expenditures
•    Assisting in development of and maintenance of databases 
•    Answering questions, following up on concerns, and resolving problems within scope of office
•    Assisting in the preparation of operating budgets and grants including subcontracts.
•    Scheduling conference calls and setting up meetings 
•    Initiating purchasing requests for supplies and equipment 
•    May arrange for and process travel requests and expenses
•    Will serve as a liaison to faculty, staff, students, alumni, and public concerning inquiries that may require interpretation of policies, procedures, and programs 
•    Serving as contact for building maintenance and facilities management

Percent of Time: 100%
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 AM – 5 PM
Salary: $36,336 – commensurate

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Minimum of 6 months prior office experience in an administrative setting
Prior budgetary experience 
Excellent Computer Skills:  Microsoft Office, Outlook, Work Powerpoint, Excel 
Excellent written and verbal skills
Demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; understanding of the necessity and value of accuracy and attention to detail; ability to process information with high levels of accuracy, as demonstrated at a working proficiency level.
Positive, friendly, and polite personality is an important requirement.

Desirable Qualifications
Experience working with grant submissions. 
Accounting experience is desired
Demonstrates working ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
Experience working with manuscript preparation, as well as ability to use reference management software.
