POSITION TITLE: Administrative Associate
CLASSIFICATION STATUS: Non-exempt, Part-time, 20-30 hours per week
POSITION DESCRIPTION: 
Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity (CVHFH) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry dedicated to building and rehabilitating simple, decent, and affordable homes in partnership with families in need in Linn and Benton counties. We are seeking a part-time experienced administrative associate to join our team. This position will work across the organization to support administrative functions as needed.
The ideal candidate will have the experience and professionalism to interact with people of all backgrounds. This position requires flexibility, strong computer and organizational skills, and a pleasant demeanor.  This position reports to the Executive Director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Answer incoming calls and respond to public inquiries.
•    Collect, sort and distribute incoming mail.
•    Record all monetary and in-kind donations, payments, and other revenue in eTapestry.
•    Maintain donation and mailing list databases.
•    Assist Executive Director with board and committee reports and packets.
•    Maintain Habitat’s partner family files (including tracking of sweat equity, etc.) and ensure that all necessary confidentiality and security precautions are taken at all times. 
•    Assist with the production of special events, including home dedications.
•    Pull credit reports for prospective homeowners.
•    Prepare and send mailings as requested.
•    Send approval/denial/additional info letters to applicant families.
•    Maintain files as requested for various organization functions.
•    Keep work areas clean and professional looking.
•    Other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
•    Previous administrative experience needed.
•    Experience with eTapestry/Blackbaud products preferred.
•    Effective time management and organizational skills.
•    Effective oral and verbal communication skills.
•    Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of clients and volunteers.
•    Basic computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
•    Ability to adapt to a changing environment and unexpected shifts in priorities.
•    Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
•    Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required.
