United Benefit Advisors (UBA) is the nations leading community of independent employee benefits professionals. With approximately 140 partner firms located throughout the US, and corporate offices located in downtown Chicago, John is responsible for all partner facing functions, including business development, vendor relationships, inter-departmental marketing and communications, shared underwriting services, legal / compliance, meetings / conferences, continuing education / adult training and development, and internal support services. John works from both his office in Cedar Rapids, and UBA Corporate Offices in Chicago; and, frequently travels to partner offices as well.

John is looking to hire a Cedar Rapids based Executive Assistant to assist him in accomplishing his workload; including sharing oversight of his small Chicago based staff, keeping projects organized & on-time, maintaining relationships and frequent communication with partner firms, holding vendors and insurance companies accountable, and filling in wherever needed to provide partner firms with world class solutions and service.

Ideal candidate is very mature, dedicated, responsive, flexible, highly dependable and very professional. Experience in Employee Benefits and/or Insurance would be beneficial. Most work will be done from your home office during business hours, but expect projects and deadlines to require evenings and weekends as needed. Plan on regular meetings with John in his Cedar Rapids office, plus daily & frequent correspondence via phone and email. Periodic overnight travel (up to 25%) to corporate offices & partner sites, and multiday tri-annual partner meetings, is required.
