Position Summary:The Support Services Manager will oversee the operations of the Anesthesia Workroom.  The Anesthesia Workroom is the main repository for anesthesia equipment and supplies. The workroom is staffed with Clinical Technicians who provide anesthesia supplies and equipment to the operating rooms.  

Position Responsibilities: 
  • Provide overall supervision for all workroom employees including evaluating and coaching performance, accountability of work hours, and hiring and new staff 
  • Develop plans to meet compliance goals, patient/customer satisfaction expectations and quality of services provided
  • Develop and/or implement programs, policies, and procedures for the Anesthesia workroom
  • Facilitate the safe and efficient functioning of the Anesthesia workroom
  • Provide control and accountability of essential workroom inventory
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of the Department of Anesthesia Capital Budget and Anesthesia Materials Budget
  • Oversee quality control, e.g. problem correction, damage investigation, procedural issues
Education Required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Experience Requirements
  • Three years of relevant experience, including recent supervisory/leadership experience (within the last 5 years)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software
  • Experience with process improvement and/or quality control
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience working in the medical field or in an anesthesia technical role
