Office / Accounting Assistant
Are you organized, have proficient accounting skills, and willing to learn new things as needs arise?? Maier Machine Tool is offering a full time position, 1st shift Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, as an Office / Accounting Assistant.

The ideal candidate will help ensure an organized and efficient office environment and work with team members around the world to provide the best possible customer experience. Exceptional oral and written communication skills, ability to balance several tasks, flexibility, and a professional demeanor are required.

While this team member might get to work on many things, he/she will be instrumental in overall office and accounting operations and assisting both internal and external team members. This person will work closely with our National Sales Manager whose goal is to provide the best-in-class service to many of the top national and international customers.

Job Duties / Expectations:


  • REQUIRED: Proficiency and prior experience with QuickBooks Pro and the ability to work with an offsite account via phone and computer.
  • Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Understand the company’s goals and priorities, including our clients, markets, services, and overall culture
  • Possess and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Create positive first impressions of company brand for all clients and office guests
  • Maintain a high standard of professional interaction with all clients and vendors through phone calls, written communications, and in-person meetings
  • Provide support for all business functions as necessary recognizing that in a small entrepreneurial company many additional duties and responsibilities are shared
  • Have the ability to travel as assigned. This requires a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and a passport (or ability to obtain)
