Our Integrated Health Services:

The Tanager Place Pediatric Integrated Health program provides care coordination, advocacy, education and referrals to needed services and resources for enrolled members. Each member is assigned to a Care Team consisting of a Care Coordinator, Family Support Specialist and Nurse to help the family meet their goals. Fully accredited by the State of Iowa and the Council on Accreditation, Tanager Place prides itself in providing the highest quality of care treating a comprehensive range of issues. Our staff collaborate with each client and their family in order to create an individualized care plan with person centered goals. 


Examples of Primary Responsibilities:

  • Validate insurance verification
  • Enter data into clients charts, web portals, and Tanager software; utilize Microsoft excel to track and manipulate data 
  • Ensure the accuracy of client accounts and charts; process medical record requests; provide support to department staff
  • Greet and check-in visitors to the department
  • Answer incoming phone calls and route callers accordingly
  • Order department supplies, materials, etc., ensuring requisitions are appropriately authorized.
  • Work effectively as a valuable team member in a fast paced environment with quickly changing priorities.
  • Act as a positive emissary of Tanager Place and promote a positive image of Tanager Place at all times. 


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required. Associate’s degree preferred;
  • 1-3 years related experience and training;   Experience in electronic health records a plus 
  • Must be organized with strong attention to details.
  • Applicant must be able to pass required background checks.


Schedule:

Full-time- 40 hours per week. This position is a non-exempt position.
