Thirty plus year old local company is seeking a  professional who is dependable, detailed, and organized self-starter individual to work at their North Liberty office as an Administrative Assistant. This position will assume a key role in handling administrative responsibilities that are a part of day to day operations that entail a blend of light accounting, data entry, electronic filing of documents, inventory management, office management. This is a support role with a mix of specific duties, and providing support for the other staff and techs while self-managing workflows within the office.

The ideal candidate will work independently to ensure the organizational business needs of the office run smoothly by managing relationships with different vendors, organizing the office daily, assisting the technicians with non-technical tasks (running a part, putting away inventory, etc.), and other tasks as assigned.  This position requires excellent organizational skill, attention to detail, ability to multi task and quickly change tasks, and relentless follow through.  This is a great opportunity for someone who is systems oriented and thrives in a small office setting and has excellent follow through.

  • Are you comfortable working independently on various tasks and happy to jump from managing an office to reconciling credit card statements to deliver to the bookkeeper to reconciling inventory?
  • No job too big or too small because you enjoy helping with the day-to-day. You are responsive, and you always follow through. You are exceptional at evaluating tasks at hand and identifying the things that make a difference in the workplace.
  • Are you comfortable with technology and able to learn and understand basic parts of computers and other electronics (e.g. CPU, motherboard, hard drive, SSD, etc.)
  • Are you highly detail-oriented and good at organizing things, and enjoy doing it?
  • Do you have a passion for helping your co-workers take care of the customers?


  • Have excellent interpersonal skills
  • High comfort in Microsoft programs, specifically working in Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail, especially under pressure
  • High comfort with technology – specifically various online portals and software package
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and exercise excellent judgment
  • Must have a good driving record and be able to pass a background check


  • At least 3 years of Clerical/Office Admin Experience (Experience in a Technology field is a ++)
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar software


  • $15 - $20/hr
  • This is currently a Full Time Position, but could accommodate an employee needing flexibility and is only available approximately 30 hours per week
  • Monday - Friday: Most Work completed between 8 am – 5 pm

Salary: $15.00 to $20.00 /hour
