MSI is looking for a professional administrator to join our team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on 1st shift!

Our customers turn to us to design and build various types of steel and aluminum molds for injection, structural foam, rim, blow, gas assist and structural web processes. We also design and build aluminum injection molds for limited production runs.

Today we serve customers in the computer, business machine, medical diagnostics, material handling, sporting goods, lawn and garden, appliance, consumer electronics, heavy equipment and transportation industries. 

Job Role: It is the responsibility of this position to project a positive and professional demeanor while dealing with both internal and external customers at all times. This position has a responsibility to accurately process sales and engineering data and files, coordinate the front office, and communicate effectively via phone and in-person with all customers, vendors and company personnel.

Essential Functions:

  1. Answering phones and transferring calls to appropriate place and/or taking messages, while presenting a positive image to customers, vendors and others.
  2. Monitor various incoming customer CAD, .pdf, etc. files; process internally and properly disseminate, including communication with both internal and external customers.
  3. Maintain inventory of appropriate office supplies and coordinate order and delivery of replacements.
  4. Entering data into multiple computer systems accurately and timely.
  5. Accurate creation and ultimately archiving of shop orders within the companies Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  6. Attentive, responsive and professional customer care of all in-person , phone and email situations.
  7. Handling of incoming and outgoing company mail.
  8. Other duties as needed.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High school diploma or graduation from an administrative program. 
  2. Minimum one year of related experience. 

Preferred Education and Experience

  1. Two years of related experience, within either a manufacturing or sales environment
