Job Information:

The Medical Records staff maintains the integrity of medical records in accordance to HIPAA standards during the process of assembling, retrieving, and scanning confidential patient medical records and patient information.  

Job Requirements:
  • Scans documents into electronic health records. Assigns appropriate labels and additional information as needed.
  • Attaches files under the correct document type within the patient chart.
  • Manages both in-coming and out-going medical records requests.
  • Assembles incoming records for providers. 
  • Imports electronic medical records from the hospitals.
  • Verifies the identity of patients/guardians when a medical record release form is signed before releasing any protected information. 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • One-year work experience in a medical office setting.

Requirements: 
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Computer literacy/typing skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
