First Impressions Specialist

Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa is seeking a friendly and outgoing part time (32 hours per week) First Impressions Specialist to work with patients, guests and visitors to the PCI Medical Pavilion. Position will be Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday from 8-4:30 pm.

The PCI First Impressions Specialist creates an environment that makes our patients and guests feel welcome, comfortable and cared for during the visit; providing a first and a lasting impression.

This role requires excellent communication skills, decision making skills, teamwork, and a sincere desire to serve our guests; creating an outstanding patient experience.

As a First Impressions Specialist you will:

  • Influence customer satisfaction by greeting and welcoming patients and guests in a courteous manner by demonstrating service first behaviors.

  • Assist with any questions or concerns, and help guests with navigation through the Medical Pavilion.

  • Work together with Pavilion Ambassadors (volunteers) to escort patients and guests to their destination and provide wheelchair assistance as needed.

  • Be adept at problem solving and service recovery.

  • Establish and maintain positive relationships utilizing friendly and positive body language, voice tone and word choices to demonstrate compassionate and genuine patient care.

  • Ensure that our patients and guests are provided with the highest level of hospitality in order to exceed guest expectations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience performing customer service responsibilities.

  • Basic computer skills

  • Must be able to work independently

  • Must have history of being on time and good attendance

  • Demonstrated customer service aptitude

  • Successful candidate must be able to effectively manage both high and low volumes of patient traffic.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience within a health care setting
• Knowledge of electronic medical record experience, i.e., Intergy
• Familiar with HIPAA guidelines, i.e., patient privacy

PCI is E.O.E. Pre-employment drug screen and background check required. PCI is a tobacco free workplace.
