Administrative Services Coordinator

The Department of Political Science at the University of Iowa has an opening for a full-time Administrative Services Coordinator to provide administrative and academic support services to the Department. This position coordinates all aspects of graduate student admissions and recruitment, provides support to the undergraduate program, and initiates forms through workflow.
Administrative responsibilities of this position require discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment, and strong analytic skills. Primary duties include but are not limited to: general inquiries, graduate student admissions, recruitment, processing applications, exams and student appointments. Position gathers information, answers questions, and processes student and faculty in-person requests, as well as email and phone inquiries. Maintains a large, confidential filing system, assisting in the maintenance of electronic files, keeping track of documents, and preparing records for the academic standards review.
