The City of North Liberty Administrative Office has an opening for a Special Projects Coordinator.    This position requires a bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration or related field and at least two years of responsible public sector experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform the duties of the position.

This position will assist in a broad range of projects, programs and other activities involving city government administration.  The position provides management support for projects and programs, including strategic planning systems, interdepartmental coordination and customer service systems.  The position provides highly responsible and complex, executive level management support for the City Administrator’s office.  In addition, this position oversees the City’s Safety Program.

Applicant must be self-motivated, have a high energy level, have the ability to multi-task and work effectively under pressure.  Must possess excellent communication skills, organizational and customer service skills.  Applicant must possess the ability to analyze problems and identify solutions and to think flexibly and inventively. Must be proficient with PCs and computer software and have general knowledge of office equipment.  Applicants must have the ability to present publicly in various media formats, have an understanding of current City policies and initiatives and a thorough knowledge of City government regulations.

Salary range $52,000 ‐ $62,000.  Excellent benefit package.  Post‐offer physical, drug screen and background screen required.
