Data Entry Specialist

The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for a variety of duties at Paramount Health Options with the main focus of accurate data entry in multiple applications. This position provides data entry assistance to the credentialing, claims resolution, and accounting departments and administrative support to the management team. Duties may include processing provider credentialing and re-credentialing applications, verifying licenses and certifications, communicating with payers, and other duties as assigned.
Data Entry Specialist Job Duties:
•Accurate data entry and/or verification of data entry of the provider credentialing and re-credentialing application, licensure, and other required information to the credentialing database.
•Confirm all required verifications are complete and have been performed according to required standards and within required timeframes.
•Work with external and internal customers to ensure timeliness and accuracy of all files.
•Verify ongoing maintenance of provider licenses and certifications.
•Maintain required logs and prepare reports.
•Process payer and claims issues escalated to PHO.
•Maintain vendor contracts by ensuring accuracy and organization.
•Communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external customers.
•Identify and implement workflow efficiencies as appropriate.
•Produce information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics.
•Conserve the team’s time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating telecommunications.
•Welcome guests and customers by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or directing inquiries.
•Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
•Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Education and Experience:
•High school diploma or equivalent
•1 year relevant experience
•Experience working with physicians, hospitals and insurance carriers preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Organization, Time Management, Detail-Oriented, Excellent Written and Verbal Communication
