Accounting Analyst

This is an experienced professional-level position in the Auditor’s Office responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial, property tax, or treasury information prepared for countywide financial processes. Performs complex accounting, property tax, and/or treasury work involving the independent application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

MAIN ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Prepares, analyzes, and reconciles bank reconciliations, tax rates, state credits, cash balances, TIF, distributions, etc.
  • Prepares and reviews schedules, reconciliations, and pertinent logs and reports
  • Creates, compiles, and verifies transactions related to the processing, auditing, and reporting of accounting, property tax and/or treasury transactions
  • Maintains payroll general ledger mapping & records payroll journals to the general ledger system
  • Responds to inquiries and provides various information and technical assistance to requesting parties

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field required
  • 1 – 3 years of recent experience in a related field working with complex accounting, property tax and/or treasury systems and procedures required. Experience working in a county or governmental body preferred

SHIFT:                        

  • Monday – Friday | 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
