Accounting Manager

Linn County

Oversees and manages the operations and the activities of the accounting functions within the Auditor’s Office.

MAIN ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Ensures accurate processing and reporting of financial transactions by staff
  • Supervises staff; recommends actions related to selection, performance evaluations and discipline 
  • Oversees the accounting functions and evaluate processes and workflows for effectiveness and compliance
  • Acts as a functional subject matter expert in the administration of related accounting systems
  • Prepares various records, reports, and manuals, and conducts special projects

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university
  • 4+ years of professional level accounting experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience leading or supervising teams 
  • Strong oral and written and communication skills 
  • Collaborative mindset and positive team approach
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

SHIFT:                        

  • 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.    Monday – Friday
