RESPONSIBILITIES
Teamwork and Process

  • This key seat provides vital and time-sensitive support to Benchmark's billing and invoicing processes.
  • Applies fairness and consistency in the review, analysis, and approval of weekly employee time and expense reports, which serve as the foundation of our client invoices.
  • Data entry including posting and submitting client invoices with required supporting documentation.
  • Reconciles monthly bank statement and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Coordinate and maintain Benchmark's various state business registrations and ensure compliance with required reporting and fees.
  • Embraces a collaborative environment where everyone is on the same page.
  • Shares ideas, solves problems, and seeks efficiencies within work processes.
  • Open to cross training in order to support the team and has a whatever it takes attitude.
  • Balances multiple projects and priorities with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Works alongside the accounting team to provide input on and implement goals, work processes and production standards.
  • Encourages and supports fellow teammates to collaborate and work effectively to share ideas and solve problems.
  • Takes initiative within assigned key areas of responsibility for the accounting team.

SPECIFICATIONS
Required

  • 2-year, Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience reviewing and approving timesheets and expense reports in a billing/invoicing support position (minimum of 2 years).
  • Able to work in the Microsoft Office 365 suite of products (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Proficiency with multiple technology platforms including vendor/client portals and PDF editing programs.
  • Strong data entry/ten-key skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System. Benchmark uses Deltek Vision.
  • Experience working in a related field/industry (engineering, construction, architecture, professional services,etc.).
  • Experience with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System).
