Antioch Christian Church

Antioch Christian Church is a growing multi-site church with locations in Marion, Oelwein and Cedar Rapids. Our mission is leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. We are currently seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to join our team.


The Bookkeeper is responsible for the day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities for Antioch Christian Church.


Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly financial entries.
  • Prepare deposits, conduct banking.
  • Receive, review, record, and pay bills and other expenses.
  • Prepare annual giving statements.
  • Maintenance of financial systems and policies.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting practice.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and communicate in a professional manner.
  • Excellent working knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, including Excel.


Anticipated Time Commitment

  • 20-25 hours per week.
  • Possibly option to work from home.
