Benchmark, Inc. (www.benchmark-inc.com) is seeking a qualified full-time Billing Team Leader – who has significant experience with managing all aspects of the billing/invoicing cycle in a professional services environment – to join our team in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership, Management, and Process

  • Leadership, Management and Accountability (LMA).
  • Works closely with the accounting team members and Benchmark's client-facing team members to meet individual client requirements and deadlines.
  • Reviews client contracts and purchase orders to ensure a thorough understanding of and agreement with contractual requirements and seeks input from legal counsel as needed.
  • Serves as the resource and working leader for the billing team and balances the flow of work.
  • Rallies the troops and keeps everyone rowing in the same direction.
  • Leads the billing team to develop, implement and maintain goals, work processes, and ensure quality standards.
  • Encourages and supports the team to collaborate and work effectively to share ideas, solve problems, make decisions, and then holds the team accountable.
  • Ensures that all billing team members are effectively onboarded and continually trained, challenged, and developed to their full potential within the department and the organization.

Communication

  • Organizes the flow of communication and fosters relationships within the billing team and between departments.
  • Ensures that a high level of effective communication exists throughout the organization relative to client-specific requirements.
  • Effectively communicates with a wide range of staff and clients (internal and external).

SPECIFICATIONS

Required

  • Enthusiasm and a passion for billing/invoicing and technical excellence.
  • 4-year degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of billing/invoicing experience, including ability to mine data and analyze/interpret it.
  • 3+ years of proven leadership experience with increased level of responsibilities.
  • Able to work in the Microsoft Office 365 suite of products (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)

Preferred

  • Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System. Benchmark uses Deltek Vision.
  • Experience working in a related field/industry (engineering, construction, architecture, professional services,etc.).
  • Experience with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System).
