We are currently hiring for:

Job Title                     Senior Staff Accountant 

Job Summary: The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for safeguarding the assets of the company and providing accurate financial information. The Senior Staff Accountant will do this by preforming internal audits, managing the external financial audit, maintain daily cash reconciliation, maintain debt accounts, preparing work papers for tax preparation including related credits and deductions, responding to governmental surveys, making sure all licenses are kept current.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Internal Audit: Create and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), audit processes to make sure SOPs are being followed and updated as needed.
  • External Audit: Manage external audit from WLF side to ensure documents are complete and timely; maintain point of contact for auditor questions; prepare audit reports; and answer audit requests from vendors/customers for audits.
  • Prepare/gather documents for tax preparation and related credits and deductions, including but not limited to R&D Credit, UNICAP, WOTC.
  • Treasury / debt maintenance - maintain daily cash spreadsheet, maintain debt accounts.
  • Government surveys.
  • Manage all business licenses.
  • Drive continually improvement in quality, productivity, efficiency and cost,
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Partner with all departments of the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
  • 3+ years of experience in public accounting in tax and auditing preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of general database structure.
  • Knowledge of IRS rules, regulations related to partnership and cooperatives.
  • Computer experience is required.
  • Knowledge of UltiPro or another timekeeping system a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and develop others.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment of continuous change and challenges.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.
  • Candidates must successfully pass post-offer/pre-employment drug test and background screen.
