Role Summary

This position is responsible for developing a team of Cedar Rapids-based employees specializing in the processing of Accounts Payable in support of legacy- United Technologies Aerospace Systems’ businesses within Collins Aerospace, as well as Pratt & Whitney. This leader and team will be new to Cedar Rapids, so the leader will have the opportunity to hire and guide the team through the transition of work. Once transitioned, the leader will work closely with our management team and internal customers to streamline accounts payable processes. This role will provide exposure to organizations across Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, as well as partnering with Supply Chain personnel to improve performance.

Applicants must have strong leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written. The ability to analyze, streamline and implement process improvements is required. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the day-to-day general accounting activities within the department to ensure smooth functioning of the department.
  • Examines accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Supports implementation of monthly and quarterly financial and compliance processes to ensure adherence to requirements.
  • Coordinates internal and external audits for timely completion of audits


Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • SAP experience
  • Microsoft Office Proficieny

Education:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience.  In the absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required.
