The Domestic Violence Intervention Program is a vital community resource for victims of intimate partner violence, serving eight Eastern Iowa counties.  Our mission is to provide comprehensive support and advocacy services to victim/survivors, focusing on immediate and long-term safety, empowerment, dignity, and hope. Our work environment is creative, problem-solving, responsive and collaborative.  We are lucky to have an incredibly resourceful and passionate staff of 35, providing crisis services and advocacy support to adults and youth. We provide victim-centered services with the goal of empowerment and unconditional positive regard.  We work hard and know that the work we do saves lives.

The Finance Controller is part of the DVIP leadership team, managing a $1.8 million budget that is made up of local, state, and federal funding, as well as fundraising dollars. The leadership team practices service management – meaning our team mission is the consistent health of the organization and diminishing barriers to safety for victims of intimate partner violence by providing support to direct services staff who facilitate crisis intervention, resources, and trauma-informed healing.

Finally, the Finance Controller reports DVIP’s financial health to the DVIP Board of Directors and provides budget and financial information for Board processes. The Controller supervises a part-time bookkeeper.
