Lead 3yr old Preschool Teacher

Role: The Lead Teacher is responsible for meeting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs of children in the center. The Lead Teacher may supervise the assistant teacher and is directly supervised by the Director and Assistant Director.

Qualifications: Lead Teachers must be at least 21 years of age, have previous experience working with children, and have experience making and implementing lesson plans. The Lead Teacher must be able to follow Center policies and curriculum guidelines, and be able to get down at the children's level and interact with them.


• Maintain a safe, healthy, and attractive learning environment both inside and outside.

• Write and implement a fun and developmentally appropriate daily lesson plan to develop safe and healthy habits, physical skills, self esteem, creative expression, social skills, cognitive skills, communication skills, letter recognition, Christian Values, and writing skills. They must be turned in by Monday morning each week to the Assistant Director.

• Evaluate children's progress and document progress 3 times a year and do Parent Teacher Conferences 2 times a year.

• Maintain confidentiality of children and family information.

• Participate in recommended professional development opportunities.

• Attend monthly Lead Teacher Meetings and every other month staff meetings.

• Complete all assigned cleaning duties that are attached, and keep your classroom and the outside of room picked up and organized.

• Turn newsletter articles by the 20th of each month to the Assistant Director.

• Update and write on blogs at least 3 times a week.

• Create a daily schedule for your classroom and follow it.

• Use appropriate tone and language when talking to children and parents.

• Maintain family confidentiality.

• Be a true example of a Christian for students and Staff.

• Communicate and involve parents in the education and care of their children daily.

• Must be able to relate to students on level and individually in an appropriate manner.

• Show respect to Program, Students, Staff, Parents, and Authority, in the work place.

• Seek to role model in attitude, speech,and actions on a daily basis.

• Engaging Children in daily activities.

• Know the procedures for responding to issues of an emergency nature.

• Carry out all other duties assigned by the Director or Assistant Director.
