Czech Village-New Bohemia Main Street seeks a Program Assistant to support the Executive Director's overall management of the CVNB Main Street program and activities. The Program Assistant will be responsible for coordinating projects at the direction of the ED and contributing to the ongoing growth and revitalization of the District.

Primary Responsibilities:

•Assist with CVNB Main Street's digital and print communications; including fliers, stakeholder correspondence, social media accounts, and website.

•Perform database management for donors, volunteers, and business/property directories.

•Coordinate mailings, reports, event invitations, press releases, and monthly electronic newsletter.

•Research and prepare materials to support promotion, events, fundraising, and other program activities.

•Organize and execute special event materials and registrations. Organize and coordinate volunteers; coordinate post-event follow-up.

•Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Location and Schedule: The Program Assistant position is a part-time, hourly role working 20 hours or less per week and is located in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Salary: Hourly wage commensurate with experience

About CVNBMS: Czech Village New Bohemia Main Street is a certified Main Street Community, coordinated statewide by the Main Street Iowa program and nationally by the National Trust for Historic Preservation's Main Street Center. CVNB Main Street uses the Main Street Four-Point Approach® to facilitate economic development through historic preservation. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, CVNB Main Street is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and is managed by an Executive Director.

Qualifications: Associate's degree, or in lieu of degree, two years administrative experience, required. College degree preferred. The ideal candidate will serve as a spokesperson for the CVNB District and Main Street organization and should be comfortable with public and stakeholder interactions. This is a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, therefore strong organizational skills, versatility, time-management, initiative, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, MailChimp, and Wordpress desired. Experience in non-profit setting with grant writing and fundraising skills preferred. Knowledge of economic/community development and historic preservation are ideal.
