As a Search Strategist you'll assess the health of client sites and search profiles. You'll define clients' search strategies and keep them on track. And you'll serve as a subject matter expert on SEO by sharing your knowledge with colleagues and clients through training, blogging, and speaking.


While you might get to work on just about anything at Geonetric, you'll primarily:

•Work directly with clients to establish goals and strategies as well as present recommendations and solutions that align search strategy with clients' website and organizational goals

•Understand the personality of each client in order to recommend unique digital solutions specific to them

•Assess the health of client sites and search profiles, create reports based on your findings, and work across teams to present findings to clients

•Identify upsell opportunities based on website performance and analytics data

•Implement, use, and maintain SEO software tools to identify, diagnose, and monitor search-related issues

•Establish processes, develop guidelines, and guide the search-related work of teammates

•Serve as a subject matter expert and internal consultant on search engine optimization to other teams

•Share knowledge with internal and external clients by mentoring, training, blogging, and speaking on search strategy

•Work with other members of the Digital Marketing team to develop digital marketing strategies for clients, including PPC, social media, business listings, email and more


•Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field required

•5+ years of SEO experience required

•Search engine optimization best practices experience required

•Google Search Console experience required

•Experience with SEO tools (Moz, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, etc.) required

•Google Analytics experience required; additional analytics platforms preferred

•Google Tag Manager experience preferred

•Paid search strategy and Google AdWords experience preferred

•Strategic marketing experience preferred

•Content marketing experience preferred


•Direct client experience required

•Experience presenting recommendations to clients and/or leading trainings, workshops, etc., required

•Website data analysis experience required

•Google Analytics Certification preferred

•Google AdWords Certification preferred

•Bing Ads Accredited Professional Certification preferred

•Knowledge of current web design best practices/capabilities preferred

•Occasionally may require overnight travel to client meetings.
