Continuous Improvement & Safety Coordinator

If you have led continuous improvement teams in a production environment and highly value workplace safety, Apache Inc. has a great career opportunity available at its Corporate location. This position will report to the Technical Services Manager and lead the execution of continuous improvement strategy while advancing the company's safety program. Primary responsibilities include:

•Developing and carrying out programs and strategies that foster and sustain a culture focused on continuous improvement and Lean thinking throughout the organization

•Providing support and leadership for the Safety program to enhance safety performance and safety culture

•Ensuring the safety program and processes comply with Federal and State regulations including workers' compensation administration

The ideal candidate has:

•Proficiency using Lean/continuous improvement and problem solving tools and techniques

•Strong critical decision making, project management, customer focus, and proactive change management skills

•Working knowledge of relevant safety, health, and environment requirements

•Ability to develop and lead successful teams

•Skillful verbal and written communication, use of Microsoft Office software, and understanding of adult learning to develop presentation and training materials that appeal to varied audiences

•Discipline to be organized, meet deadlines, and follow through with corrective action results

•Proven analytical skills to monitor, report, and act upon performance data and trends

•Willingness to travel periodically
