The Account Manager is the highest level of leader in the execution team structure at the ESCO group. This position is best described as a lead technical sales position along with management of automation staff. This person is responsible for team financial performance including technical sales of integration projects. This person must understand the Company Mission Statement and Values to direct the vision of staff. This position requires exceptional dedication to the company, projects, staff, and clients. Because of these qualifications only unique persons with proven track records in industry will be considered.

The Account Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:

•Lead team to ensure communication, conduct, practices, etc. are professional and aligned with the upper management and the company vision.

•Ensure team revenue and all measures of financial accountability.

•Approve timecards, expenses, and leave for direct reports.

•Work with clients to understand project needs and operating methods in order to best meet customer requirements.

•Use technical expertise to assist in project proposal preparation and approvals.

•Self-manage a schedule that includes client and sales initiatives.

•Lead employee reviews and goal setting for all team members.

•Develop strategies to retain and improve business with assigned account(s) or identify new accounts which may be a fit for the team.

•Work with other managers to discuss sales forecast, current projects, account strategies, etc. to maximize sales within the account, provide consistency and add value for the client.

•Collaborate to provide forecast of: revenue, resource needs (amount and timing), skills, equipment, tools, etc.

•Manage CRM for the assigned team to provide up to date and accurate sales funnel.

•Primary contact between client and ESCO for non-project execution items.

•Set team budgets, execute sales strategies and sales forecasting. Ensure a consistent, sustainable workload across the team.

•Organize and conduct weekly team meetings.

•Utilize, support, and enhance ESCO's standards and best practices.

•Understand and follow all safety, conduct, and policy requirements established by ESCO and clients.

•Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or deemed necessary by management.

To be considered, candidates should have:

•Completion of a Bachelor's degree program in engineering or business from an accredited college, technical school, or university and ten years or more of related work or industry experience; or

o Completion of other Bachelor's or an Associate's degree program in a related discipline from an accredited college, technical school, or university and eleven years or more of related work or industry experience; or

o Candidates without a degree require a minimum of fifteen years or more of related work or industry experience.

•Demonstrated to be highly proficient with computer technologies including but not limited to, Windows Operating Systems, basic computer networking, and the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.


•Client relationship and technical sales background strongly preferred.

•Demonstrated proficiency with two or more of the following: electrical design, PLC ladder logic programming, HMI programming, computer programming, or commissioning.

•Experience in a project engineering or project services environment, including the following:

o Knowledge and familiarity with project management activities including budgeting, defining and managing scope, risk management, and scheduling.

o Project team leadership.

o Project estimating, proposals, and working with clients during sales process.

•Experience in the food, grain processing, seed, or other industrial process industries.

•Experience managing direct and indirect reports.
