Operations Manager

The Play Station - Operations Manager

The ideal applicant must have excellent guest service skills with experience directing staff, solving issues, guest relations, cooperation and integration with General Manager and all other inter related departments. Applicant must be self-motivated and a self-starter.

Responsibilities:

Manage the daily operations of the entire facility in cooperation with General Manager and shift supervisors which includes arcade, prize redemption counter, food and beverage, party coordination, staffing, cash controls, reconciliations, opening and closing procedures, employee retention, staffing schedules, and coordination of all activities

Develop strategic plan for increasing profitability using a combination of sales building strategies and cost control mechanisms

Review and approve financial documents for accuracy including purchase orders, invoices, expense reports and petty cash transactions

Recruit, hire, evaluate, coach and discipline staff

Maintain adequate, trained and motivated staff

Oversee general maintenance of facility and equipment

Work in cooperation with Group Sales, on budgets and promotions to increase sales and overall revenue

Monitors food preparation

Attends weekly operating meetings

Ensures inventory and waste controls are followed

Communicates with all vendors and places food orders weekly

Schedules staff and assigns duties

Trains and instructs staff on the different processes, procedures and proper food handling

Requirements:

Ability to build, motivate and supervise a strong team of employees

Ability to accomplish objectives through others (leadership)

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks

Ability to think strategically and develop "out of the box" ideas for increasing sales and controlling costs

Excellent verbal communication skills

Attention to detail

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent

College degree or equivalent work experience

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to obtain Serve Safe Certification.

Must be able to obtain first aid and CPR certifications
