JOB TITLE: Program Manager (PM)

REPORTS TO: Executive Director

STATUS: Full-Time / Non-Exempt

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Program Manager (PM) is responsible for managing all key aspects of Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity (CVHFH) program design and delivery to partner families, volunteers, donors and internal stakeholders. The PM manages two AmeriCorps members specializing in family and volunteer services activities, and serves as the critical link between these program areas and the CVHFH organization as a whole.

Minimum Qualifications:

•Undergraduate degree in Non-Profit Management, Business Administration, Family Services,

Social Work, or some related area of study

•At least one year of practical experience in a dynamic non-profit or other business setting (experience with family services, home mortgages, volunteer coordination, communications and/or other related areas is a plus)

•Demonstrated planning and organizational skills, including the ability to anticipate tasks, set and meet priorities/goals, and function smoothly under strict deadlines and shifting priorities

•Detail-oriented, thorough and organized approach to professional duties, with strong work ethic and genuine commitment to "the team"

•High level of computer literacy with demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office, desktop publishing and Internet applications (experience with spreadsheets, databases, etc. is a plus)

•Strong team player with demonstrated ability to manage personnel

•Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work harmoniously and effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service at all times

•Commitment to the mission of Habitat for Humanity and strong desire to serve the under-served and vulnerable in our community

•Willingness to work some nights and weekends throughout the year

•Reliable transportation for traveling to and from office, as well as other off-site locations (as needed)

Primary Responsibilities:

•Provide day-to-day oversight of all family and volunteer services functions

•Advise on the development of and implement annual and long-term plans as related to all key program areas for CVHFH

•Manage and regularly evaluate at least two staff in family services and volunteer services areas

•Ensure that excellent customer service is being delivered to key stakeholders and that Habitat's brand and reputation are being protected at all times

•Obtain and stay current on relevant training for all program areas, particularly with regard to federal, state and local laws, as well as Habitat International best practices governing mortgage servicing, volunteer safety, etc; ensure organization's full compliance with all of the above

•Serve as a staff liaison to various volunteer-driven committees, including, but not limited to family selection, family support, volunteer and faith relations

•Support the creation of and adherence t• annual budgets for all relevant program areas

•Assist Executive Director and Development Director with a range of fundraising initiatives throughout the year, including, but not limited to, the creation of mail/on-line appeals, special event fundraisers and specialty builds (i.e. Youth United, Women Build, Building on Faith, etc.)

•Develop, implement, document and continually update best practices for a range of program areas

•Assist Development Director and Development Committee with the formation and implementation of an annual outreach plan to faith-based organizations

•Assist with the management and execution of a range of external communications initiatives, including, but not limited to, Website and social media updates, email marketing, media relations, etc.

•Develop and maintain strong working relationships with past, present and future CVHFH families; individual volunteers; sponsor groups; donors; and board members

•Advise the Executive Director on all program-related matters

•Other duties as required by business needs and requested by Executive Director

Compensation Package:

•$15-$17/hour (based on qualifications and relevant experience)

•Individual/family health benefits and retirement plan, with some eligibility restrictions

•Paid holidays, vacation, sick, personal and outside volunteer time
