We are looking for an innovative and talented Design Drafter to join our team as we embark on new and exciting technological advances to help our customers work smarter and faster in restaurants and commercial kitchens all over the world.
This position will provide key support in the design of next generation products leveraging PCT Windchill and Creo (Pro/E), administering the engineering design control data system as well as creating drawings that exhibit the detail and method of assembly for a variety of machinery and mechanical devices.
Will be a Power User of PCT Creo, leveraging parent-child relationships, skeletal modeling, automations, and Windchill PLM (including WTparts). Will be responsible for preparing detailed drawings of both simple and complex parts, weldments, and assemblies from sketches, layouts, and/or verbal instructions; lead coordination with outsourced design detailers to support business commitments and prepare documentation and control documentation throughout the PDP process (Product Development Process) including preparing engineering change notices, engineering specifications, engineering process instructions and Initiating and preparing engineering releases and/or change control documents.
Requires Associates or Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical drafting, or related technical field with 1-3 years related work experience, or equivalent blend of education and related experience. Aptitude for mechanical design and documentation required. PTC Windchill and Creo (Pro/E) training and experience required. Experience with plastic and sheet metal components strongly desired. Ability to interpret specifications for projects. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization. Experience with MRP/ERP system operation and product bill of material (BOM) structure. Strong organizational skills are essential as well as attention to detail. Excellent computer software skills including documentation control, and MS Office programs.
