Assists with the delivery of a variety of business and technical assistance programs offered through the Center for Business Growth & Innovation; conducts research associated with providing customized business, consumer and industry intelligence on behalf of Iowa companies; provides interpretive services and analysis to small business; promotes information sharing and technical assistance to businesses statewide; manages project assignments including the tracking and coordination of client deliverables; gathers program impact results; assists with the creation, aggregation and curation of relevant small business development content; and assists with the coordination and execution of small business and entrepreneurial events.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Public Administration or related field; at least two years of experience in conducting secondary market, industry, demographic and competitive research for small business; experience working with small businesses through consulting, business ownership or small firm management as well as an understanding of current business database resources and research tools required. Student experience will be considered. Experience with online communities and/or social media tools and resources for business use including blogging, chat, email, Twitter and text communications preferred. Criminal and other relevant background checks required.
