Under the direct supervision of the Creative Director in conjunction with the Senior Art Director creates and executes overall product/branding and campaign messaging and specific creative assets, i.e. art direction and graphic design in digital and non-digital spaces including: websites and landing pages, advertising campaigns, video, collateral, social media, agency and client pitches, etc. as determined by brand guidelines, positioning statements, creative briefs and supportive creative messaging ideas and strategies in accordance to the project proposal and client needs.
Some of your responsibilities would include:
•Participates in creative brainstorming sessions and is effective in client pitches. We practice the lateral ideation method.
•Expert knowledge of and experience with necessary design software capabilities and methods, i.e. Adobe Creative Suite (knowledge of interactive design and video editing software or at least needs and process a plus), needed to create and implement overall product/branding and campaign messaging and specific creative actions, with the ability to take strategic positioning and visual creative direction and dynamically add to the quality of the end product. We call this "plussing".
•Researches brand niche, perceived and real competition brands and their advertising and marketing campaigns and visual messaging. Sync with market research and customer data and strategies.
•Maintains up to date awareness of business, technology, social, advertising, branding and pop culture trends in general and how they affect each specific product/brand and marketing and advertising campaigns.
Job Skills and Attributes:
•Is acutely aware of industry design trends and processes. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Highly organized. Confident decision-maker that can engage in critical analysis and receive critical analysis while working in a collaborative, cross-discipline ideas environment where everyone contributes and has a voice. Attention to detail. Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Computer-literate. Understands the digital and social media spaces. Working knowledge of customer trends in the digital and non-digital spaces and emerging trends. Exhibits solid leadership skills.
First and foremost, a killer portfolio. Bachelors' degree in Art, Graphic Design and 3-5 years related experience, or in the absence of a bachelors' degree, 5-10 years related experience.
