The Capital Management Department at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics seeks to hire a Health Care Project Manager for Health Care Construction Projects. This position will act as an owner's representative to provide project management over the entire project life cycle and is responsible for driving and managing the capital development process from planning/programming through occupancy. The work involves performing and/or overseeing; planning, assessment, programming, estimating, design, bid, construction administration, budget and schedule maintenance, commissioning and quality control within the context of the largest regulated, public sector university hospital in the State of Iowa. This position is responsible for large scale, complex, high profile projects which include master planning and extensive coordination between multiple agencies and constituencies. Projects may include multiple bid packages, be highly complex and have multiple stake holders.
The Capital Management Department manages the planning, design, and CONSTRUCTION of all capital projects at UI Hospitals and Clinics. Project Managers work with engineers, architects, and contractors to maintain high standards of design and construction to create patient- and family-centered environments.
