Electrical Safety Trainer
Location: Marion, Iowa
Position Type: Full-Time/Regular
The Safety Trainer will be responsible for, but not limited to:
•Provides user training to clients and employees as it relates to current electrical safety standards, OSHA standards, and company policies.
oExplains technical concepts clearly.
oAdapts material to audience needs.
oResponds to questions and concerns.
o Tracks and reports performance and progress.
o Maintains accurate training records and timely filing of completed projects.
•Works both internally and with client contacts to develop training plans and structured on-site time for training employees.
•Interfaces with employees and client to resolve technical questions, customer concerns, and serves as a technical resource to our employees and clients.
•Evaluates program effectiveness and assists in the development of curriculum as standards, regulations, and procedures.
•Provides technical product support, consulting, and technical services to customers and employees relating to electrical safety.
•Travels to customer sites for training, support, and preps facility for training classes.
•Works within employer's sales plan to contact, schedule, and initiate business.
•Maintains and improves technical knowledge, instruction skills, and related equipment knowledge by reading appropriate technical literature and by attending technical seminars and trade shows to stay abreast of industry trends.
•Utilize, support, and enhance ESCO's standards and best practices.
•Understand and follow all safety, conduct, and policy requirements established by ESCO and clients.
•Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or deemed necessary by management.

•Completion of a Bachelor's degree program in a related discipline from an accredited college, technical school, or university and four years or more of related work or industry experience.
o Completion of an Associate's degree program in a related discipline from an accredited college, technical school, or university and six years or more of related work or industry experience.
o Candidates without a degree require ten years or more of related work or industry experience.
•Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards.
•Working knowledge of NFPA 70E 2015 Edition "Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace."
•Demonstrated to be highly proficient with computer technologies including but not limited to, Windows Operating Systems, basic computer networking, and the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
•Five or more years of experience with technical training.
•Four or more years of experience in an electrical environment.
•Two or more years of experience in business development.
