Multiple Administrative Associate Openings
Looking to work in a fast-paced fundraising organization dedicated to advancing the University of Iowa? The UI Foundation is looking for experienced administrative professionals to fill several upper/senior level Administrative Associate openings. Our administrative support staff enjoy a rigorous level of responsibility within a highly-supportive work environment.
One opening supporting the Vice President of Principal Gifts: Provide support for a dynamic, highly-experienced fundraiser who works with donors to secure gifts of significant impact ($2M+).
Two openings supporting Development for University of Iowa Athletics: Provide support for the highly-energetic team that raises funds for Hawkeye athletics programs and student athletes, often working directly with contributors.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Performs complex administrative duties for designated Foundation personnel. Maintains a broad knowledge of all Foundation departments, procedures, and systems.
•Provides in-depth phone coverage for designated staff and responds to complex phone inquiries.
•Maintains strong working relationships and interactions with donors, clients, boards, and committees.
•Reviews, proofs, and composes complex written material, adhering to the UIF standards.
•Collaborates with development officers regarding prospect management.
•Sets up, coordinates, and tracks various phases of projects and events.
•Manages complex schedules and travel for high-level administrators requiring discretion of calendar activities and prioritization of appointments.
•Coordinates, maintains, and monitors intra-unit operations and procedures with other support personnel to maintain consistency in the application of policies and procedures.
•Collects, compiles, and analyzes data for specialized reports requiring some research.
•Maintains regular communication with supervisor regarding projects, issues, and objectives.
Qualifications: High school diploma required, with additional education required/preferred for some openings. A minimum of four to six years of administrative or communications-related experience required, depending on position. Any combination of education and experience providing the knowledge and skills necessary to fulfill the requirements of this position may be considered. Excellent oral/written communication, proofreading, editing, time-management, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Careful attention to detail. Intermediate understanding of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. High level of confidentiality required.
