Member Services Coordinator

Position Summary:

Sigma Lambda Gamma is seeking a full-time Member Services Coordinator to provide support services for collegiate members by managing special projects for the sorority. Member Services Coordinator will work to support Headquarters staff through various avenues including assisting in research, data collection, reporting, and planning. Member Services Coordinator will assist Directors with entity and member support. The Member Services Coordinator should be committed to fulfilling the mission of the sorority and continuing the success of the organization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-directed, and a strategic thinker.

Member Services Key Elements:

•Process expansion inquiries including alumnae associations and colonies

•Coordinate judicial investigation and adjudication procedures

•Oversee risk management inquiries such as event registrations, and approval of additional insured certificates

•Process member terminations

•Educate members on risk management policies and member insurance benefits program

•Oversee and process member education certification program

•Assist with verification and appointment of all volunteer positions

•Supports all levels of the organization by generating program/project data using standard reporting tools

•Supports staff with sorority initiatives and programming

Administrative Key Elements:

•Manage member database and member profiles

•Track and report sorority membership statistics

•Accountable for standardizing reporting formats and statistical analysis methodologies

•Creativity & flexibility to respond to competing priorities as well as strong verbal and written communication skills are keys to success in this position



•Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Education, or relevant field


•Experience in research and analysis

•Experience in a non-profit or service environment.

•Experience working with students in higher education setting


•Knowledge in editing and writing techniques, preferably Associated Press style

•Expertise and knowledge of MS Office especially Excel: Must possess the following Excel Skills Macros, Create and Modify Pivot Tables, Data Manipulation, Creating Data Tables, Creating Charts, Filtering Data lists, Templates and Importing/Exporting Data

•Efficient in Google applications

•Ability to accurately review and complete detail oriented information and projects

•Detail-oriented, with strong project management skills and is able to manage multiple priorities under deadline

•Functions well in a fast-paced, cooperative, team-oriented, open environment

•Editing and proofing skills

•Well-organized with strong administrative and organizational skills

•Works well independently and collaboratively

•Excellent interpersonal skills

•Problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

•IT experience

•Familiarity with Macintosh platform, working on a network and database, and HTML experience.

•Member of a Fraternal organization is preferred.
